  • Recommendation

    That the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held April 12, 2022 be adopted as presented.

President of LMHA, Mike Seguin, Vice President of Travel, Randy Levac, and Scheduling Director, Lindsay Thiessen, appearing before Council to present the LaSalle Minor Hockey League President's Award to Town of LaSalle Staff.

  • Recommendation

    That the report of the Director of Council Services/Clerk dated April 4, 2022 (CS-2022-07) regarding the Procedure By-law: By-law 8692 be received;

    And That Council endorses the provisions of the proposed Procedure By-law and adopts the implementing By-law.

  • Recommendation

    That the report of the Director of Culture and Recreation dated March 28, 2022 (CR-2022-09) regarding the plan to manage festivals and events be received;

    And That the Event Hosting Policy be approved;

    And That the Event Rental Fees be approved;

    And Further That the permanent full-time position of Recreation Programmer – Events be approved.

  • Recommendation

    That the report of the Director of Culture and Recreation dated March 31, 2022 (CR-2022-10) regarding updates to the Policy for Waiving or Reducing Fees Related to Use of Town Owned Facilities and Spaces be received; And That updates to the Policy be approved.

  • Recommendation

    That the Minutes of the Fire Committee Meeting dated March 24, 2022 be received; and that all Committee Matters be approved.

  • Recommendation

    That the Minutes of the Parks, Recreation and Events Committee Meeting  dated February 17, 2022 be approved; and that all Committee Matters be approved.

  • Recommendation

    That the report of the Director of Fire Service/Fire Chief/CEMC dated March 29, 2022 (FIRE-2022-09) regarding the termination of the Declaration of Emergency be received.

  • Recommendation

    That the report of the Supervisor of Revenue dated March 31, 2022 (FIN-11-2022) regarding the 1st Quarter Property Tax Write Offs be received.

  • Recommendation

    That correspondence dated March 31, 2021, from the City of Cambridge, regarding Support for a Moratorium on New Aggregate Operations be received.

  • Recommendation

    That Correspondence from the Minister for Seniors and Accessibility dated April 5, 2022 regarding Nominations for the 2022 Ontario Senior of the Year Award be received.

  • Recommendation

    That the Report of the Chief Administrative Officer dated April 26, 2022 being a Summary of Reports to Council be received.

  • Recommendation

    That the following By-laws be given a first, second, and third reading and finally pass:

    8691 – A By-law to temporarily provide the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of LaSalle with certain authority to allow for business continuity in the event of Council being restricted in its authority pursuant to Section 275 of the Municipal Act, 2001

    8692 – A By-law to govern the calling of and proceedings of Council and Committee Meetings, and the conduct of its members

    8693 – A By-law to authorize the execution of a Severance Agreement with George Real Estate Management Ltd.

    8694 – A By-law to authorize the execution of a Severance Agreement with Mark and Margaret Marcotte

    8695 – A By-law to authorize the execution of a Subdivision Agreement with Lankor Horizons Development Inc. (Laurier Horizons Phase 2)

    8696 – A By-law to authorize the execution of a Waste Collection Agreement with GFL Environmental Inc. and the Corporation of the Town of LaSalle

    8697 - A By-law to authorize the execution of an Agreement with Canadian Parks and Recreation Association and The Corporation of the Town of LaSalle

    8698 - A By-law to amend Zoning by-law No. 8600, the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-Law, as amended

  • Recommendation

    That confirmatory By-law 8699 be given a first, second, and third reading and finally pass.
