Call to Order

 

Mayor Meloche called the meeting to order at 9:02 p.m.

Mayor Meloche read the land acknowledgement statement.

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest

 

Councillor Carrick declared a conflict of Interest in relation to the Malden Road EA project update as a family business is located on Malden Road.

1.
Waterfront Plan Review & Status Update

 

P. Marra, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, D. Langlois, Director of Finance, and P. Funaro, Director of Culture and Recreation, reviewed the Waterfront Plan Review & Status Update presentation with Council.

Councillor Burns entered the Meeting at 9:07 a.m.

    That Administration prepares a report regarding the feasibility of offering a large-scale travelling exhibit at the Event Centre in the Town of LaSalle.

Current Major Studies/Master Plan Review & Status Update

 

E. Theissen, Fire Chief, and D. Langlois, Director of Finance, reviewed the Fire Master Plan presentation.

Mayor Meloche called for a recess at 10:34 a.m. The Meeting reconvened at 10:48 a.m.

P. Marra, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, reviewed the Malden Road EA project presentation.  

Councillor Carrick exited the Meeting at 10:48 a.m. during the discussion of the Malden Road EA project. Councillor Carrick returned at 11:24 a.m. upon completion of the presentation.

P. Marra, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, reviewed the Howard/Bouffard Master Drainage Study and the Turkey Creek Hydrologic and Hydraulic Study presentations.  

J. Osborne, Director of Public Works reviewed the Townwide Sanitary Sewer Capacity, Water Distribution Master Plan, and Front Road DMAF Grant Master Drainage Study presentations.

Councillor Carrick exited the Meeting at 11:30 a.m. and did not return.

Mayor Meloche called for a lunch recess at 11:47 a.m. The Meeting reconvened at 12:36 p.m.

    That Administration prepares a report regarding the Reaume Road and Sandwich West Parkway extension and any implications of proceeding with the extension, including future budgets and development.

    Carried.

Development/Building Activity Review & Update

 

G. Beggs, Director of Planning and Development, A. Colucci, Chief Building Official, and A. Burgess, Supervisor of Planning, presented the Development/Building Activity Review & Update presentation.

Mayor Meloche called for a recess at 1:50 p.m. The Meeting reconvened at 2:05 p.m.

Upcoming Future Studies and Master Plans

 

P. Marra, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, reviewed the Parks Master Plan portion of the presentation and advised that Administration expects the update to the Plan to be completed by the end of 2023.

P. Funaro, Director of Culture and Recreation, reviewed the Culture and Recreation Master Plan portion of the presentation. 

G. Beggs, Director of Planning and Development, reviewed the Front Road District Economic Study portion of the presentation.

J. Milicia, Chief Administrative Officer, reviewed the Human Resources Forecast/Growth Plan portion of the presentation.
