Mayor Bondy calls the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Councillor Renaud discloses a conflict of interest on item A1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held December 8, 2020, as Councillor Renaud's family member is an abutting property owner to Item D-1 of the minutes.

    That the Minutes of the Closed and Regular Meetings of Council held December 8, 2020, the Minutes of the Budget Meeting held December 16, 2020 and the Minutes of the Special Meeting held December 17, 2020 be adopted as presented.

    Carried.

    Councillor Renaud declares a conflict of interest on the Minutes of the December 8, 2020 Regular Meeting of Council and abstains from voting. 


Mayor Bondy wishes a Happy New Year to Council Members, Administration and the viewing audience. He states that Premier Ford has announced a Second Provincial Emergency to address the COVID -19 crisis effective January 14th, 2021 at 12:01am. More details are located on the Town's website under the COVID-19 section. Mayor Bondy expresses how important it is at this time to take action. He requests that everyone help each other and do what we must to stop this pandemic.

Liz Farano, Vice President & Creative Director and Amanda Iera, Account Executive, from Douglas Marketing Group appear before Council to present new designs for the Town’s branding and communications.

    That the report of the Corporate Communication and Promotions Officer dated January 4, 2021 (CAO-C&P-01-2021) regarding the Extension of Town Branding be received.

Robert Durling appears before Council in support of alternating parking on Maple Ave and Lyons Ave.

Shane Berger appears before Council in opposition of alternating parking on Maple Ave and Lyons Ave.

    That the report of the Manager of Roads and Parks dated November 3, 2020 (PW-30-20) regarding implementing alternating parking on Maple Ave and Lyons Ave from 1st Street to End BE APPROVED; and that a corresponding By-Law BE PREPARED and brought back to Council at a future date.

    That an Administrative report be prepared outlining the implementation of alternate parking within the Town of LaSalle.

Frank Chiandussi appears before Council to request his application for alternating parking on Omira Street be withdrawn.

    8507 Being a By-law to adopt the budget for year 2021

    8508 A By-law to authorize the borrowing of $26,650,000 for current expenditures under Section 407 of the Municipal Act and to authorize the temporary borrowing for works under Section 405 of the Municipal Act for the 2021 fiscal year

    8509 A By-law to levy and collect a portion of the taxes for the year 2021

    8510 A By-law to authorize the execution of an agreement between Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and The Corporation of the Town of LaSalle for the Asset Management Program in LaSalle

    8511 A By-law to authorize the execution of an agreement between Public Sector Digest Inc. and The Corporation of the Town of LaSalle for consulting services for the Municipal Asset Management Program
