Mayor Meloche called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.

Mayor Meloche read the Land Acknowledgement Statement.

    That the minutes of the meeting of the Parks, Recreation and Events Committee Meeting dated August 27, 2024, be adopted as presented.

    Carried.

S. Bisson, Manager of Parks and Recreation, presented the report.

Mayor Meloche proposed that nighttime lighting at the baseball diamonds be considered part of the development of the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Master Plan.

    That the report of the Manager of Culture and Recreation dated November 8, 2024 (CR-2024-29) regarding the summer 2024 programming session be received.

    Carried.

O. Stichhaller, Supervisor of Recreation presented the report.

    That the report of the Supervisor of Recreation dated September 19, 2024 (CR-2024-26) regarding the updated facility user group agreement for Windsor Model Yacht Club be received;

    And that, Council enters into a new agreement with Windsor Model Yacht Club and authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to execute the agreement.

    Carried.

Councillor Burns inquired about the possibility of installing hand railings in Rink A at the Vollmer Complex. Mr. Osborne explained that the current width of the area prevents this and indicated further solutions can be explored.

Councillor Riccio-Spagnuolo shared that she received positive feedback regarding the recent hockey event and commended the team for their efforts. 

Mayor Meloche extended congratulations to the team for the outdoor holiday lights display noting the positive feedback received from residents. 

The next scheduled meeting will be held on February 25, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.

The meeting is adjourned at the call of the Chair at 4:48 pm.
